Similarly as as aloo paratha the potato is stuffed inside the kulcha. And simple to make and yummy to eat. This can be serve with non veg or veg curry which are spicy.

Aloo Kulcha are crispy and spicy bread stuffed with potato.

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:
  • Maida / Flour - 400gms
  • Curd - 3 table spoon
  • Baking soda - 1/3 tea spoon
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tea spoon
  • Sugar - 1 tea spoon
  • Oil - 1 table spoon
  • Salt - according to taste
  • Sesame seeds or cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon
  • Potato - 300 gms
  • Chopped Green chilli - 1-2
  • Ginger - 1 inch long piece
  • Amchoor powder - 1/2 tea spoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1-2 pinch
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tea spoon
  • Chopped Coriander leaves - 1 table spoon
Instructions:
Mix Maida/Flour with curd, baking soda, baking powder, salt, sugar and oil. Pour warm water and make mix to smooth soft dough and cover for 2 hours. Meanwhile steam or boil potatoes peel and mash the potatoes. Mix spices with potatoes and mash it again. Make medium sized balls from kulcha dough. As in chapathi sprinkle the whole wheat powder on rolling board and on balls. Roll it to round shape and place potato stuffing in the center and join the edges to center and sprinkle some cumin or sesame seed on top and roll it again. Gently place this to hot tava and repeat the same for rest of dough balls.
