Asus has launched its PadFone mini smartphone-tablet hybrid in India, priced at Rs. 15,999.
Initially announced at CES 2014, the Asus PadFone mini runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is skinned with Asus’ ZenUI, which is also seen on the company’s ZenFone series of smartphones. The company has promised an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade for the PadFone mini.
Featuring a 4-inch WVGA (480×800-pixel) IPS+ display, the dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) Asus PadFone mini ships with a tablet dock that is built around a 7-inch WXGA (1280×800-pixel) IPS+ display. The PadFone mini is powered by a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, coupled with 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM.
