Bittergourd Theeyal Recipe

Ingredients:
- Bittergourd (Pavakka) - 2 nos
- Shallots(Kunjulli) - 2 cups
- Shredded coconut - 2 cups
- Chillypowder - 1 tsp
- Turmericpowder - 3/4 tsp
- Corianderpowder - 1 tsp
- Salt
- Oil
- Mustardseeds - 1 tsp
- Curryleaves - 2 - 3 sprig
- Redchillies (Kollamulaku) - 3 nos
- Tamarind juice
Instructions:
In a pan, heat oil and add shallots and bitter gourd pieces. Add salt and cook on a low flame. Another pan, heat oil and roast coconut, till it turns brown. Now add chilly powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and roast for a few more seconds. Grind this into a fine paste. Now you can add this paste into the shallots-bitter gourd pieces and mix well and cook on low flame. Add tamarind juice to it. In a pan, add mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves. Add this into prepared curry and serve.
