IFFK 2014
Summary
IFFK 2014 is one week (12-19 Dec 2014) the International Film Festival organised by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy at Kerala’s Capital city Trivandrum.
19th edition of International Film Festival of Kerala got a awesome start yesterday with the screening of “Dancing Arabs“, an Israeli Movie Directed by Eran Riklis.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Shri Oommen Chandy inaugurated one week-long film fest at Nishagandhi Auditorium, trivandrum by lighting the lamp.
Dignitaries from Cinema and Cultural field attended the inaugural event.
Director Marco Bellocchio was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award by State Minister for Cinema Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan.
IFFK will screen 140 hand picked films in 10 categories including:

- Jury Films
- Chinese Film
- French Films
Jury Panel of Competition section comprises of Xie Fei, Lawerence Kardish, Klaus Eder, Reis Celik and Sumitra Bhave.

Participation of 9000 Delegates around globe is expected during the fest, and it will be the record for IFFk.
Kerala State Chalachitra Academy is the event organisers and IFFK will conclude on December 19th.
State’s Capital city will be in Festival fever of Film. While peoples in Commercial Capital city, Kochi will on Biennale and Football Celebrations.
