Kallumakkaya Fry



Kallumayakaya    : 500 gm

Tomato                  : 1 medium  ( chopped)

Onion                     : 2 medium (thinly chopped)

Ginger                    : 2 tsp

Red chilli powder : 1, 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies       : 3-4
Curryleaves            :1 spring
Garam Masala      : 1/4 tsp
Oil                           : 3 tbsp
Salt                         : to taste


[“Wash and clean the Clams or Mussels shells. If you buy it with the shell wash it well and add it to 2 cups of boiling water. Next Switch off the flame after this and when the water has cooled down remove the mussels from the shells. Heat the oil in a hard bottom pan. Add onions and brown them to a golden color. Next add green chillies, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and salt. Sautee the above mix for 5-7 minutes. powder section one by one and sautee well with the veggies till the raw smell goes.When the oil starts coming out, add chopped tomato and sautee for 5 mts. Add the mussels and  stir fry till it turns to brown & crispy,adjust the salt & spice powders. Serve hot with  Parota, Chapati.
