Ingredients:
  • Toor Dal - 75g
  • Onion (medium size) - 2 Nos
  • Tomato (medium size) - 2 Nos
  • Sautéed vegetables - 2 cups
  • Tamarind water - To taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Refined vegetable Oil -1 tbsp
  • Ground coconut - 2 tbsp (if required)
  • Eastern MadrasSambar Powder-3 tbsp
  • Mustard -1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves -1 stalk
  • Coriander leaves - For garnishing
  • Green Chillies - 1 – 2
  • Molasses -To taste (if required)
Instructions:
Cook the dal with the onions, tomatoes and a little salt. Add the vegetables, chilies, tamarind water and Eastern Madras Sambar Powder. Add ground coconut also if required. Crackle the mustard seeds, add curry leaves and sauté till done. Add this to the cooked vegetables and stir lightly. Garnish with coriander leaves.
