Nikon has built a DSLR especially for astronomers. Masahiro Horie, Director of Marketing and Planning, Nikon Inc said “The Nikon D810A is engineered exclusively to meet the unique demands of professional and hobbyist astro-photographers,The camera’s distinctive feature set and powerful imaging capabilities make it an appealing option for those who are ready to discover the fantastic cosmic features that are hidden among the stars.”

Nikon D810A is Nikon FX-format DSLR camera designed exclusively for full scale Astro-photography. The FX-format CMOS sensor has no optical low pass filter and built with latest image processing engine EXPEED 4. This can make caputuring vivid imahes of nebulae which emits Hydrogen-Alpha light in its real.

Apart of normal DSLR’s, D810A can take photos at a shutter speed from 4 seconds to  900 seconds (15 minutes) with higher exposure value and the 36.3 megapixel CMOS sensors to capture high resolution images. 200-12800 ISO range keeps this camera detail the sky without noise even in night time photography.
