Onam Special Beetroot Thoran

Ingredients:
- Beetroot - 2 medium size peeled and chopped
- salt
- Coconut - 1 cup
- Dry Red Chilli - 2
- Sambar Onion - 2
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Cumin Seeds- 1 tsp
- Mustard Seeds
- Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
Instructions:
In a pan, heat oil and add mustard and urad dal. Now add chopped beetroots and saute for 5 mins till the raw smell leaves away. Add salt to taste and mix it well. Now pour some water and cover with a lid. Cook till the beetroots are completely cooked. Now open the lid and if there is any water left, increase the heat and evaporate it. Now you can add in the ground up masala and mix well. Fry about 5 minutes and serve.
