Onam Special Cheera Thoran

Prep Time: 15 minutes

  • Red Spinach ( or green) - 6 bunches
  • Grated coconut- 1 coconut
  • Onion- 1
  • Green chilies- 4-5
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves- 7-8
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • Salt
Clean and chop spinach.In a pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds,curry leaves and fry. Now add chopped onions and green chilies saute till the begin to brown. Add turmeric powder and salt and saute for another minute. Now you can add the spinach and let it wilt. add the grated coconut and stir for five minutes taking breaks. Now you can serve.
