Onam Special Kumbalanga Pachady

Prep Time: 15 minutes

  • Kumbalanga- 2 cup
  • Salt
  • Water-1/4 cup
  • Coconut- 1 cup
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  • Green chillies- 2
  • Coconut oil- 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds-1 tsp
  • Dry red chillies- 2
  • Curry leaves
Cook chopped cumbalanga along with salt and water till it become soft. Then grind coconut, mustard seeds,cumin seeds and green chillies along with water. Add this paste to cooked kumbalanga and mix well. Cook this in medium flame for 5 minutes then turn off the heat and allow to cool. When it cools, add some yogurt and mix well. In a pan, heat oil. Add mustard seeds, dry chillies and curry leaves. Then add this into prepared pachady then mix well and serve.
