Onam Special Pineapple kichadi

Prep Time: 15 minutes

  • pineapple - 100gms
  • green chillies - 2
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
  • coconut - 1/2
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.
  • litre yogurt - 1/4
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt
Cut the pineapple into small pieces. In a pan, boil the pineapple along with green chillies, turmeric powder, salt and water. Remove it from fire, when water has evaporated. Grind the coconut and cumin into a fine paste and mix it with the yogurt and cooked pineapple. In a small pan, heat oil. Then add mustard seeds, 2 dried red chillies and a few curry leaves . Now add these into kichadi with salt to taste and one tsp sugar.
