10 steps to fix a phone dropped in water

You have an experience of phone is being drop down to a sink or pool or any water body. Don’t even panic or say yourself bad word about the instant, you can save your dearest phone from damages of water in timely action.

Before doing anything get the phone out of water source to avoid further contact with the water into the phone. And you need not do these things which will harm your phone or completely damage it which is logical to human minds.

1. Don’t turn it on or press any key or buttons.
2. Don’t shake or tap the phone to remove water from it.
3. Don’t try to dry it blowing or with hair dryer or microwaving also don’t try freezing. It may cause damages to internal part even its not wet.

1. Turn off the phone if it not and keep it upright.
2. Remove protective casing and take out the SIM cards, Battery, SD Cards from the phone.
3. Take a cloth or tissue paper to dry the phone. Clean all the openings of the phone.
4. If its hard to access any openings or have excess of water use the vacuum cleaner gently and carefully to remove water.
5. Take a zip bag full of rice and put phone in it and lock it. Rice can absorb the water in high amount.

7. Wait for 1-2 days and put battery back to the phone and turn it on.
8. Check the keys, buttons, touchscreen and speakers. If you find any problems check it by professional mobile service centers.
9. If its repaired keep an eye to the working of phone for few days.
10. In future, avoid the chances to drop the phone again.
